Escapes to Barrie

Nigel explores the culture and experiences that Barrie has to offer, making a special stop at the Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery [www.theflyingmonkeys.ca] . After learning about the beer making process, Nigel and friends taste some of the special brews.

DID YOU KNOW…

There are no monkeys, flying or otherwise, at the brewery, but there’s a lot of unusual beer, including a chocolate stout. Dedicated founder, Peter Chiodo, watched his grandfather make home brewed beer and that grew into a lifelong passion, which led to the opening of the brewery on Kempenfeldt Bay.
